Thoughts On Turning 60

A while ago I did a soliloquy on Thoughts On Turning 50. And before Twitter, Facebook, and blogs that thing spread around the web as a positive look at my life. I had over 500K page hits and emails for that post. In April, I will have to do “Thoughts On Turning 60″. Much has happened since then. This is my placeholder.

Life IS it’s own reward.

I tend to approach this as an ‘I’ based soliloquy:

I have watched [Presidential assassination, first moon landing, etc.] Watched means I generally wasn’t on site as opposed to

I have experienced [3 days of peace and love, a sunrise from the bottom of the Grand Canyon or a sunset from the top of a 14,000 foot mountain] [birth of a child and grandchild]

I have suffered [loss of parents, siblings, pets] [physical pain during surgeries]

I have lost [love of a good woman and regained it] [ability to ever have children]

Lots of ways to approach it.
The last one at 50 was on a social web site no longer around. I’ll have my own web site this year and migrate my important things there
